Overview
Sportsnetics Inc. respects the privacy of all of its users and is committed to protecting such privacy in accordance with this Privacy Policy. This privacy statement discloses the privacy practices of Sportsnetics Inc., the website located at http://www.sportsnetics.com (the "Site"), related services and other websites owned or operated by Sportsnetics Inc. and its corporate affiliates (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy also explains how you can ask questions and make suggestions about our privacy practices and review and update your personal information.
Information collected
The types of information that we collect fall under two general categories: personally identifiable information (PII) and non-personally identifiable information (non-PII). PII consists of any information which can be used to specifically identify you as an individual, whereas non-PII consists of aggregate information or any information that does not reveal your identity. The following sections describe how your PII and non-PII are collected by us, and how we use such information.
Use of personal information
Log files information:
Any time you visit the Site, our servers automatically gather information from your browser
(such as your IP addresses, browser type, platform type,
date/time stamp). This information may be used to analyze trends, prevent fraud and track visitor movement in the aggregate. We do not share this information externally.
Cookies:
We use "cookies" to keep track of some types of information while you are visiting the Site or using the Service.
Cookies are very small files placed on your computer, and they allow us to count the number of visitors to our
website and distinguish repeat visitors from new visitors.
They also allow us to save user preferences and track user trends.
Google analytics information:
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc.
("Google"). Google Analytics uses cookies to help us analyze how users use the Site.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website (including your IP address)
will be transmitted to and stored by Google.
Web beacons information:
They are small transparent graphic
images that are often used in conjunction with cookies in order to further personalize our website for
our users and to collect a limited set of information about our visitors. We may also use web beacons in
email communications in order to understand the behavior of our customers. We do not link the web beacons to any PII.
Information about you:
When you register for the Service, we collect a variety of information about you
to complete your online profile. We use that information for some features of the Service, for example to calculate the rankings
of the users and teams. Except as otherwise stated in this privacy statement, we do not disclose
your PII to other users of the Service. If you choose to connect your Sportsnetics account with Facebook or any
other service, we will receive and retain basic account registration data you provide to that service,
such as name, email address, user ID and profile page URL.
E-mail information:
We require an email address from you when you register for the Service. We use your email for both
transactional (e.g., activity updates such as notices that another user is now following you on the Service)
and promotional (e.g., newsletters, new product offerings, event notifications, special third-party offers)
purposes. We reserve the right to send you
certain communications, such as service announcements and administrative messages, without offering you the opportunity
to opt out of receiving them.
Demographic data information:
Demographic data is also collected at the Site. We use this data to tailor our visitors'
experience, showing them content that we think they might be interested in, and displaying the content according
to their preferences. Some of this information may be shared with advertisers on a non-personally identifiable basis.
Forums information:
We make discussion areas of the Site available to our users and visitors. Any information
that is disclosed in these areas becomes public information and you should exercise caution when deciding
to disclose any PII.
Disclosure of your information to third parties
We will not sell or rent your Personal Information to anyone.
We will only disclose your Personal Information to third parties:
a. Where you have specifically given us your consent to disclose your Personal Information for a designated purpose;
b. As may be set out in the Terms and Conditions applicable Sportsnetics;
c. As required by law, including by an order of any court, institution or body with jurisdiction or authority to compel the production of information, or in order to protect or defend a legal interest; or
d. In connection with a Sportsnetics merger, a sale or a bankruptcy of all or a substantial portion of the assets of Sportsnetics provided that the Personal Information disclosed continues to be used for the purposes permitted by this Privacy Policy by the entity acquiring the information.
Security
We have implemented reasonable measures to help protect your User Information from loss, misuse, or unauthorized access or disclosure. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your User Information, we cannot guarantee its security. You are responsible to protect your password and account information at all times.

The Service may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any such other website and urge you to review such practices prior to submitting any information to such websites.
Children's privacy
You must be at least 13 years or older to register to use the Service. Children between the age of 13 and 18 must have parental consent to register. Sportsnetics does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13 or knowingly allow such persons to register. No one under age 13 is allowed to provide any personal information to or on the Service. In the event that we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. If you believe that we might have any information from or about a child under 13, please contact us at privacy@sportsnetics.com.
Choice / Opt-out
You may use the following options for removing your information from our email database if you wish to opt out of receiving promotional emails and newsletters.
- Click on the "Account Settings" link from the site home page, and un-check the undesired promotions.
Updating your information
You may change your email address, password and other information from the "Account" page accessible via a link from the site home page. To the extent you choose to include PII or other information in your profile, the Service allows you to update or remove that information by editing or deleting the content.
Account termination
To terminate an account, send an email to support@sportsnetics.com with the title "Terminate Account". Such deletion may not be immediate, and residual copies of your profile information or posts may remain on backup media for up to ninety (90) days.
International users
If you are located outside of the United States, please note that this site is hosted on our computer servers in the United States. Therefore, your information may be processed and stored in the United States. As a result, the United States federal and state governments, courts, or law enforcement or regulatory agencies may be able to obtain disclosure of your information through laws applicable in the United States. Your use of this site or the Service or your submission of any Personal Information to us will constitute your consent to the transfer of your Personal Information outside of your home country, including the United States, which may provide for different data protection rules than in your country.
Changes to the privacy policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If under any such update we make any material change to the way in which we treat your User Information, we will inform you of such change via email or by posting a notice on relevant areas of the Service. Any updated version of this Privacy Policy will be effective as of the date set forth therein.
Third party advertising
We may use third-party advertising agencies or other service providers to serve ads on the Site on behalf of Sportsnetics or third-party advertisers (e.g., retailers of goods or services). These companies may employ cookies and web beacons to measure advertising effectiveness. Any information that these third parties collect via cookies and web beacons is completely anonymous. We will only share your information with third parties in the ways defined in this privacy statement.
Public information
By creating an account, you are authorizing Sportsnetics to share your information publicly (this includes your full name, bio, preferences, photos, all the forum posts, comments, all the stats, charts, tables you create and other information) publicly available. Your email address will remain private. Also, there may be areas of the Services (e.g., forums, profile pages, stats created) in which you are able to post information that will be available to all other users of the Service. By choosing to use these areas, you understand and agree that anyone may access, use, and disclose any information that you post to those areas.

Your use of our Service, including any dispute concerning privacy, is subject to this privacy statement and the accompanying Terms of Use Agreement. BY USING OUR SERVICE, YOU ARE ACCEPTING THE PRACTICES SET OUT IN THIS PRIVACY STATEMENT AND THE TERMS OF USE AGREEMENT.
If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement page and any other places we deem appropriate so that you are aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances, if any, we disclose it.
